A really unique and unusual heavy alloy act, Aghora was first conceived in 1995 by guitarist/programmer Santiago de Cuba Dobles, bandage he and initial co-conspirators Soap Dible (guitar) and Andy Deluca (bass part part) were attendance the Berklee School of Euphony. Come 1997, Dobles relocated to Miami, FL, where he recruited his sister, vocaliser Danishta Rivero, and guitarist Charlie Ekendahl, and a few long time (and demos) later, the legendary rhythm department of progressive oddment metal pioneers Cynic, bassist Sean Edmund Malone and drummer Sean Reinert (too ex-Death). Interlock the latter groups' taste for compositional ingenuity with Dobles' jazz fusion-based playing and Rivero's clear, melodic component, Aghora recorded a self-titled debut record album in 1999. Edmond Malone, Reinert, and Ekendahl soon touched on to other projects, simply scorn announcing replacements in Alan Goldstein (bass) and Richard Komatz (drums), Aghora has so far to bring forth any new music.
